Dr. Stanley Liu, DDS, MD

Dr. Stanley Liu D.D.S. M.D. is an assistant clinical professor at the Stanford School of Medicine. He is an alumnus of both UCSF School of Dentistry and the UCSF oral & maxillofacial surgery residency. Following his residency training, he pursued fellowship training in sleep surgery at Stanford University. His clinical focus is in surgical management of obstructive sleep apnea. His research focuses on dynamic airway collapse studied by sleep endoscopy, sleep MRI, and computational fluid dynamics. Dr. Liu helped create Passing the Scalpel during his time as chief resident. He learned that PTS is not merely a great team. It is a great idea. A great idea is not subject to changes in time, geography, or culture. Dr. Liu believes that PTS will continue to deliver a transformative experience for all scholar-surgeons.

Dr. Yu-Feng Chen, DDS

Dr. Yu-Feng Chen, D.D.S.has been a member of the faculty at Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU) since 2012. KMU is the highest volume oral surgery center in Taiwan. More than 200 cases of orthognathic surgery and 400 cases of oral cancer are performed annually. Dr. Chen was a recipient of the 2014 ITI (International Team of Implantology) scholarship. He has expertise in oral oncologic surgery, orthognathic surgery, bone augmentation, and CAD/CAM assisted implant surgery. His active areas of research include CAD/CAM guided implant surgery, dynamic airway changes after maxillary expansion and MMA surgery for sleep apnea. He is currently a visiting scholar at Stanford University.

Dr. Steven Saxe, DDS

Las Vegas Oral Surgeon, Dr. Steven Saxe is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Saxe initially earned his Bachelor’s degree at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He Then received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at Washington University School of Dental Medicine in Saint Louis, Missouri. Dr. Saxe continued his education at Sinai Hospital of Detroit, completing a four year residency in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.His training was quite dynamic including Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Anesthesiology, Pediatric Anesthesiology, Craniofacial Surgery, Oral Pathology and extensive training in Oral Implantology. Dr. Saxe is also a Fellow of the International College of Dentists
